Throughout July: Atlanta Botanical Gardens Events

Throughout July be sure to visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for their summer events. Cocktails in the Garden happens every Thursday from 5:30-9:30pm. Enjoy the beautiful Botanical Gardens with a refreshing cocktail in hand! Take in the gardens with a walk-through Imagination World’s: Alice’s Wonderland with live music and chef demos.

Concerts in the Garden: The Botanical Gardens also host summer concerts in their gardens. Check their website for lineups and schedules!

July 4: Peachtree Road Race

Price: $200
Location: The AJC Peachtree Road Race starts in Buckhead near Lenox Square Mall and ends in Piedmont Park.

Did you know that the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race is the world’s largest 10K race? It has been since the 1970s and is a true example of Atlanta’s summer spirit. Race, run, or walk the 5K for great charities and enjoy the lively atmosphere as encouraging spectators cheer you on to the finish line!

July 4: Centennial Olympic Park Fourth of July Celebration

Price: Free
Location: Centennial Olympic Park, Downtown

Enjoy a fun day in one of Atlanta’s most beautiful parks. Don’t miss the Southeast’s biggest fireworks show at 9:45! Enjoy food trucks and a local DJ, all with Atlanta’s lovely downtown skyline as a backdrop.

July 14: Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival

Hours: Sunday 1-5pm

Created to benefit Georgia Organics, the 11th annual Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Festival was cooked up by Chef Ford Fry to help Georgians eat the surplus of delicious local tomatoes that happens each July. Chef Fry was discouraged to see so many ripe tomatoes go to waste during the pinnacle of growing season, so he created a festival to encourage a day of tomatoes-inspired cuisine! Enjoy local organic tomato salsas, cocktails, ice cream, chili, and tons of others!

July 21: Peachfest Atlanta


Tickets $70
Location: Peachtree Center, Downtown
Hours: 3-7pm Sunday
Theme: Food and local produce

Peachfest has a dedicated focus on supporting local agriculture and bolstering future farmers of America. This event seeks to generate opportunities for small farmers across the state and connect them with restaurants that serve local sustainable agriculture. Local cellared wines and dishes highlighting peaches will also be featured.

At PeachFest, guests will have the opportunity to sample the best dishes the city’s culinary scene has to offer and rub elbows with some of Atlanta’s famous chefs including Andre Gomez, the visionary behind Porch Light Latin Kitchen. Guests can also expect appearances from local farmers like Jon Jackson of Comfort Farms who will take the stage to discuss the difference of raising heritage breeds on open pastures.

July 27: Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

Enjoy endless ice cream varieties at the 8th annual Atlanta Ice Cream Festival. The festival is fun for all ages and features activities, games, and tons of fun for the whole family.
