Inman Park: A Few Great Restaurants to Try

Inman Park is a historic neighborhood perfect for a picturesque stay in Atlanta.

With its oak, magnolia, and pecan tree-lined streets peppered with grassy meadowed parks and grand Victorian homes, Inman Park exemplifies a true Southern neighborhood with character and charm. The addition of new restaurants, bars, and shopping to Inman Park over the last decade has added to its appeal and made it one of the most highly sought-after real estate markets in the city. Take a walk with us as we stroll along the flower-lined sidewalks of Inman Park and enjoy the tasty restaurants and fun stops in this great Atlanta neighborhood.

Our first stop along this food tour is Wisteria at 471 North Highland Avenue.

This brick-walled restaurant offers simple décor to contrast with the vibrant flavors of their Southern-food menu. Opened in 2001, Wisteria serves a nightly dinner reminiscent of a Southern Sunday supper. “Jason Hill and executive chef Walker Brown pay homage to the seasons. The menu adjusts to suit the harvest and gathering greens, cheeses, beef and fresh fish from local and regional sources, from Georgia to North Carolina is the foundation to our process. Both chefs worked for many years to build relationships with local farmers and purveyors.”

Recommended Dish: Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs with Pickled Okra

Our second stop is a comforting neighborhood joint perfect for a casual meal: Folk Art.

Folk Art offers hearty and healthy options with a laid-back vintage vibe. Enjoy breakfast with freshly squeezed juices and amazing banana pancakes. Lunch options include great salads, vegetarian and vegan options, and great burgers for the carnivores. Opened in 2013, Folk Art has become a staple in the Inman Park food scene and is a wonderful choice for a welcoming atmosphere.
